[googlefont="Maiden Orange|Ubuntu Mono|Lobster Two"] The Painful Memories Raphael sat in the library he was turning the page of an old dusty leather binder it was filled with the names of the old students and the classes every student was taking in the old days. His index finger ran on top of a name. She used to be a great student, very promising in the art of healing… but she decided to join Lucifer. Raphael sighed remembering how vicious she had become how she had used her gift to take life instead of healing and helping. He narrowed his eyes feeling a sharp wave of pain coming across his chest before he closed the binder.
Sprawled in the desk in front of him there was an assorted group of papers. Some where reports in some battles and some of them were reports on casualties. Raphael had no idea where in the library these would fit. He guessed they had to be typed down or collected before being bookbinded. He firmly clutched the hair on the back of his head with one hand, he didn’t want the records to be redundant so he thought he would check what was already in the library and then he would sort from the pile of paper he owned what was useful to add to it. But, this exercise in adding to the record was bringing him a lot of painful memories and stirring old wounds.
He rubbed a hand on his forehead and exhaled deeply. He knew the girl was still out there, somewhere plotting with Lucifer. He knew the academy wasn’t probably safe. He knew everything would become messy and untangled again. Raph, disliked violence, greatly. He hated to have to fight, even more so against other angels… against fallen ones. He couldn’t possibly understand Lucifer’s hatred of humans and he didn’t even know what could drive others to follow him so earnestly. He left his head fall and hit the desk the air displaced by the movement threw some papers to the floor.
Raphael left a low growl escape his lips, and squinted his eyes feeling emotionally drained. He really wanted to help but, now he was questioning his own reasons to do so. Was it really useful to let this information be available to the new students? What if some of them got ideas and they joined Lucifer? Raphael was thinking on these doubts when the sounds of nearing footsteps made him raise his head and look around. He clenched his hand into a fist. He was so on edge by the memories that he didn’t even kept his voice low as he spoke: “Who is it?” Anika TriskenSorry I got caught up coming with the template DX

Anika didn't hesitate to show herself-she had nothing to hide, after all. The newly-made angel had been looking for information on the war, not wanting to be illiterate about everything that had happened-and for more than one reason, too.
"Just me. I was looking for some information on the war..." She trailed off at the sight of one of the Archangels, looking distinctly stressed and with papers spread across the table and a few more on the floor close to where she was standing. Anika immediately shifted the few books she had found in her arms and bent to pick them up, her training as a fighter and dancer allowing her to keep her balance as she did.
"My name is Anika, Sir-Anika Trisken. I just wanted to check some facts out." Her voice was softer now, a little kinder. If anything, she had a pretty good idea what was going on here. She'd often had to write reports, had to file incidents where colleagues had been a little too slow or hadn't known how to fight well enough to survive, and had been hurt or killed because of it. Add in what the war had done to her own superior, Azrael, and she was surprised any of the Archangels had been willing to come back here.
As it was, she was glad they had. Sometimes, in order to heal, you had to reopen the wound and face the past...

[googlefont="Maiden Orange|Ubuntu Mono|Lobster Two"] The Painful Memories Raphael followed Anika movement with his eyes she wasn’t one of his students so he really didn’t knew her personally or by name. But the fact that he was one of the Archangels was probably well known judging by her reaction. Raphael left a long exhausted sigh and slumped his shoulders trying to relax. He side glanced as she picked some of the paper of the floor moving almost graciously so the books on her hands would not fall down as she did it. Judging by her dexterity if she had chosen to be a healer she would have been one of his star students. Healing required a small touch however the art of concentrating one’s power to do so required concentration and dedication.
Not something everyone could do. He pushed some of the papers in a small pile and cleared some space for her to set down the papers and the book she had now. “You’ve come to the right place this whole section is dedicated to the war and…” – he paused – “…what happened after it”- he said softly feeling a sour taste from the words coming from his mouth. He remembered how they had to close the school and send it to purgatory. Raphael had supported the reopening of the school but he had many doubts about this course of action, all he knew what that he wanted to hope for the best, he even hoped some of the old students could be redeemed.
Anika again broke his thoughts when she introduced herself, he smiled lightly and patted the seat next to him. “I’m Raphael, Keeper of the Healers. Nice to meet you, Anika. What are you studying?” – he introduced himself. The fact that the Archangels were well known wasn’t a good excuse not to show manners. “If you want to know about the war that almost ended this academy. I’m sure I can recommend you a few of our history records. What kind of information are you looking for? Battle’s registries? Information files on the deserters? Or something providing a timeline of the most… importat events?” Anika Trisken

With a small smile, Anika joined him at the table, setting the papers she'd picked up down on the table in the space Raphael had cleared. "I'm studying anything I can find, really... I was a bodyguard in the human realm, and we learned fast that it's the small details that can make a difference, especially when in the middle of a fight." She glanced at the papers before her, and her eyes saddened a little at the list of angels that had Fallen from grace. Her fingers traced across one line, staring at the date, name and reason for the Fall that had been recorded-apparently, the angel had blamed the Archangels for the death of his sister a few weeks beforehand. A tragedy she could understand, but that was hardly a reason to blame his leaders for something that had been out of their control. Looking back up at Raphael, she expanded on what she'd said already. "The important events are often important only because of the details that created them, and while I've read about the major battles and a few other incidents, there's not been much else I've been able to find. It just... doesn't sit right, that the small details be left out like that." It had been a small detail that had killed her, after all-she'd made a choice to not use a dagger to cut off her hair in the middle of a fight when it had been grabbed. That small detail had eventually led to a bullet being sent into her skull, and had sent her on a one-way trip straight here, to the Academy. Raphael

[googlefont="Maiden Orange|Ubuntu Mono|Lobster Two"] The Painful Memories Raphael lifted one finger and scanned through the books picking one of them. It was a very heavy book and he moved some of the papers out of the way before stetting the book in front of her. “You will want to read this one. It has a chronology for all of the mayor battles, but it also includes maps, detailed profiles of some of the fallen, a few accounts from some of the survivors and a prologue explaining the early days of the academy.” – He rubbed his hand into his forehead. “Metatron himself compiled that volume; he has always said he likes it to keep meticulous records of everything.”
He sighed heavily and picked up a small book. “This is the journal left from one of the angels that betrayed Heaven. It’s describes quite accurately the way Lucifer approached this recruit and used his own fears, hopes and dreams to turn him into the dark side.” – He extended the book towards her but then he pulled his arm back and eyed her seriously. “Keep in mind that Lucifer is a deceiver. He doesn’t care about the ones whom he turns to his side anymore than he cares about his enemies. You should exercise caution while reading through this journal.” – He added before he handed her the book. He raised both hands interlocking his fingers and resting his elbows on the table. “Since you worked as a bodyguard when you where human it would be natural that you may wish to protect this place. Right now The Academy has been warded against the fallen angels. But, that doesn’t mean they are not still out there planning our downfall. Even if you are curious or if you want to help us out by taking down some of them. I would advise you not wander outside the academy grounds unless you are told to by one of us. Do you understand, Anika?” – He said quite sternly looking into her eyes.
